The carnage on the nation's roadways continued on Sunday night when two motorcyclists died in a motor vehicle crash along the Deeside main road in Trelawny.

The deceased men have been identified as 24-year-old labourer, Romone Spence of Congo Town in Wakefield, and 17-year-old Sanjay Richards of Deeside district, both in Trelawny.

Reports are that about 9:30 p.m., Spence and Richards were riding their motorcycles towards Wakefield.

At a section of the Deeside main road, a Toyota motor truck, which was being driven in the opposite direction, reportedly drifted into the path of both riders.

Spence, who was traveling in front on a Zamco motorcycle, crashed head-on into the truck.

Richards, who was traveling behind on a YengYeng bike, then collided into the motorcycle that was being driven by Spence.

Both riders sustained multiple injuries and were rushed to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

The Trelawny police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
