Two men dead, two others injured in Ocho Rios crash
Two men died as a result of injuries they sustained in a motor vehicle crash along the Ocho Rios main road in St Ann on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as 26-year-old fisherman, Ramario Williams, and 25-year-old Orane Newman, both of Steer Town, St Ann.
Police reports are that about 10.05 p.m., Williams was driving a Toyota Sprinter motorcar with three other men aboard heading to St Mary, when on reaching a section of the Ocho Rios main road, he reportedly lost control of the vehicle.
The car ran into a utility pole.
In a video of the crash scene which has gone viral on various social media sites, persons can be seen removing one of the men from the motor vehicle. Another man was seen apparently pinned down in the driver's seat.
According to the police, all four men sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital, where Williams and Newman died while being treated.
The other injured men were treated and discharged, police further indicated.
