Two dead, four injured following gun attack in Clarendon

Six people were shot, two fatally by gunmen in Canaan Heights, Clarendon late Friday.

The deceased have been identified as Jerome Ellis, otherwise called Platinum, a 32-year-old machine operator and Winston ‘Buju’ Bent, a 26-year-old labourer of Canaan Heights.

Reports reaching Loop News are that at about 8:40 p.m., a group of persons were at a shop in the community having several discussions when a group of men armed with guns walked up to the location and opened fire.

The gunmen then fled the area. When they left six persons were found suffering from gunshot wounds.

The injured were taken to hospital where Ellis and Bent were pronounced dead and four other persons admitted.

Clarendon police are investigating.
