Two business operators shot dead in York Town, Clarendon
A man and a woman, said to be the operators of a business establishment, were shot and killed by gunmen in York Town, Clarendon late on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Mark Miles, 59, and Debbie Hayman, 40.
Reports are that about 8:20 pm, the two were at the business establishment when several explosions were heard.

It was just the latest in a string of gun attacks in the parish which at the time was still on edge following Sunday's brazen robbery of a business establishment by heavily armed men. In Sunday's incident, two police officers who tried to foil the robbery were shot and injured as the heavily armed criminals engaged law enforcement officers in a gun battle that lasted for some 15 minutes.
Councillor for the York Town Division and former Deputy Mayor of May Pen, Uphel Percell bemoans the crime situation in the parish.
Speaking to Loop News following Monday night's double murder, he said “This incident has left the entire community in shock, and has once again highlighted the crime situation in Clarendon.
“These were people who grew up in the area and were hardworking," he added.
