Two brothers shot dead in St James

Two brothers were shot and killed by unknown attackers in St James on Friday morning.

The two siblings have been identified as 33-year-old Omar Smith and 34-year-old Odane Smith, both of Top Hill, Anchovy, St James.

Reports are that about 6:30 am, the two siblings, who live at separate homes, were walking through a shortcut in their community, on their way to work at a construction site, when residents heard a barrage of shots.

Upon the arrival of the police who were summoned, the two bullet-riddled bodies were discovered along the roadway in a section of the  Anchovy community.

The Anchovy police, who are investigating, are yet to establish a motive for the killings.
