tTech among leading IT companies to host BizTech forum

Local information technology solutions company, tTech Limited is onboard with the Jamaica Computer Society (JCS) to host the 2017 BizTech IT Conference alongside top names in the global technology community such as IBM, Google and Microsoft.

iTech is set to host sessions which include discussing the benefits and importance of cloud based storage, cyber security and open sourcing in businesses. tTech is Jamaica’s first IT solutions company allowing its clients to outsource these services thereby minimizing costs.

As an outsourced information technology solutions company, tTech advocates for the use of decentralised modes for business application development and maintenance. Using open source software allows businesses to create custom solutions for their company through existing free-to-use software.

In addition to reducing costs, this also increases function for the business. One common example of open source technology that is applied in most businesses is the PBX (Private Branch Exchange).

Christopher Reckord, Director of Sales & Marketing led on this topic.

In another session at the conference, Managing Partner at MH&Co Attorneys-at-law, and tTech client, Matthew Hogarth will join Reckord to elucidate on the cloud as a safe space and efficient tool for handling business information. “Many business owners have been reluctant to adopt this not so new technology, citing that data protection and privacy are major concerns”, said Reckord.

The theme for this year’s conference is “A World of Digital Opportunities”, and that would not be complete without addressing concerns about cyber-security. With constant advances in technology and increased reliance on digital tools to increase productivity it is advisable that businesses take a risk-based approach to IT by having robust cyber-security standards. John Gibson, Senior IT Security Officer  at tTech will present on how to find creative ways to navigate the landscape.

Other speakers include experts in data science, mobile workforce solutions, cloud sales, strategic planning, among others. The conference is being held at the Jamaica Conference Centre from Wednesday, October 18 to Friday, October 20, 2017.
