Trelawny raid for St James wanted men comes up trumps

The Trelawny police have arrested six persons, including three females, following the recovery of an illegal firearm in the house they were occupying in the parish capital, Falmouth, on Saturday afternoon.

Five of the six are said to be of St James addresses, where a state of emergency is ongoing, while one of the three males is said to hail from Falmouth.

Reports are that members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) went to a premises in Falmouth in search of wanted men from St James.

During a search of the premises, an illegal firearm was recovered, and the six occupants were taken to the Falmouth Police Station for processing.

The premises is said to belong to a relative of the Trelawny man who is numbered among the detainees.
