TLC LIFESONG launches debut album
LIFESONG, the worship team and band from Transformed Life Church opened to an audience of over 1,000 including well known faces from the music fraternity. Attendees experienced first-hand LIFESONG’s versatility as the band and team moved smoothly from reggae to dance hall to acoustic all original songs from the album project featuring the unique TLC sound.
It was definitely no ordinary walk in the park at 6 pm when the lights came up under the dome and the first strains of music spun by popular DJ Marlon Young boomed out. Hosted by well-known media personality Nadine Blair the night was a combination of powerful music, pre-recorded and live interviews and praise and worship.
The Group also debuted the music video for the title track off the album Wi Love Strong. According to lead vocalist Nikki Tucker, “it was an amazing experience for all of us to be part of, and then to see the response to something that we believe in and worked on for so long. We are proud of the entire album and we are excited to share it with Jamaica”.
One member of TLC who attended the unveiling shared that they thought “the production was excellent … first rate. I felt that our young group from TLC could very well be on an international stage delivering powerful, stirring songs of worship.”
Another member of the audience found it hard to choose any favourites as ‘every song hit a note and shifted the atmosphere to one of worship, praise and adoration for the King of Kings”
Senior Pastor Dwight Fletcher in his onstage interview shared that, “at Transform Life Church we believe that God uses music to speak to the heart of people, and LIFESONG will allow us to express the love of God through music on a larger scale. Music speaks to the heart and allows us to connect to others in a very special and powerful way.”
Transformed Life Church will be celebrating its 5th anniversary this Sunday January 8th at a special service starting at 9 am at 34 Hope Road (Police Officers’ Club).
