An additional four COVID-19 related deaths and 35 new cases were recorded across Jamaica on Sunday, according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
The deceased are a 48-year-old male, a 76-year-old female and an 88-year-old female, all from St Catherine; and a 50-year-old male from St Mary.
The latest fatalities bring the death toll from the coronavirus in Jamaica to 192.
The 35 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases bring the total number of cases on record for the island to 8,749. Recoveries increased by 21, bringing total recoveries to 4,303.
Of the newly confirmed cases, 24 are females and 11 are males, with ages ranging from three to 88 years. The cases were recorded in Kingston and St Andrew (12), St James (nine), Westmoreland (four), Hanover (four), Clarendon (two), St Ann (two), St Mary (one) and St Catherine (one).
There are 21 moderately ill patients and three critically ill patients among the 4,139 active cases now under observation in Jamaica.
