Three people dead, baby in critical condition after Olympic Gardens attack

 

Three people are now dead and a 10 month old baby in hospital battling for life following a brazen attack by gunmen in sections of Olympic Gardens, Kingston on Monday.

Dead have been identified as Joseph Kelly, o/c Joe Bleach, a 32-year-old resident of 25th Street, Olympic Gardens, Nicholas Linzie, otherwise called Nick, a 20-year-old unemployed man and Daniquea Graham, otherwise called Alicia, a store clerk also of an Olympic Gardens address.

Reports from the Constabulary Communication Unit (CCU) are that at about 6:30pm, a group of persons were standing on along 25th Street, Olympic Gardens when men travelling in a Nissan motor car drove up alighted from the vehicle and opened fire and then drove away.

Four persons including the 10 month old baby were found suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were rushed to hospital where the three adults have since succumbed to their injuries.

The baby remains in hospital.  

Police have since launched an investigation into the matter.
