Teen stabbed to death during reported dispute over water

Police say they have now stepped up their investigation in the case where a teenager was fatally stabbed at a standpipe in Portland.

Residents from the area say the victim, identified as 17-year-old Miguel Osbourne, was attacked following an argument that started over water.

Another teenager has since been apprehended in connection to the incident.

Reports from Orange Bay police are that about 4:35 p.m. on Thursday, Osbourne went a stand pipe in 40 Acres, Orange Bay to catch water when an argument developed.

The argument led to a scuffle and the victim was stabbed. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
