The taxi driver who was shot and killed in the Greendale area of Spanish Town in St Catherine on Monday evening, has been identified. The deceased is 43-year-old Sherman Lorraine, otherwise called ‘Pin Fish’ of Belleview Heights in Spanish Town. Reports are that at about 6:15 p.m., residents heard explosions coming from the vicinity of the Greendale stoplight along the Thompson Pen main road. The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Lorraine was seen with a gunshot wound to the head slumped over the steering wheel of a white Toyota Probox motorcar. He died at the scene. The police are continuing investigations into the matter.
