Sygnus Credit and Medical Disposables and Supplies led gains on Tuesday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
Sygnus gained 7.8 per cent to close at US$0.11 followed by MDS up 7.7 per cent to close at $7.00.
Meanwhile, Radio Jamaica was the day's biggest loser down 9.6 per cent to close at $1.04.
The JSE Combined Index advanced by 1,388.29 points (0.36 per cent) to close at 389,946.91. The JSE Index advanced by 1,535.64 points (0.40 per cent) to close at 387,517.20. The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 1,689.91 points (0.40 per cent) to close at 425,346.65.
The JSE Select Index advanced by 15.09 points (0.16 per cent) to close at 9,640.49.
The JSE Cross Listed Index closed at 100.00 while the Junior Market Index declined by 1.99 points (0.06 per cent) to close at 3,092.47.
The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 0.78 points (0.45 per cent) to close at 175.66 and the JSE Financial Index advanced by 0.16 points (0.16 per cent) to close at 98.97.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 67 stocks of which 30 advanced, 27 declined and 10 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 16,661,061 units valued at over $99.8 million. JMMB Group 7.50per cent was the volume leader with 8,380,647 units (50.3 per cent) followed by Mayberry Jamaica Equities Limited with 1,417,874 units (8.51per cent) and Fontana Limited with 999,692 units (6.0 per cent).
