Swallowfield residents get new homes from councillor, Canadian mission
Created : 1 March 2019
Several families in the Swallowfield, St Andrew are now living more comfortably after receiving two new homes through a collaboration between councillor for the area, Fabian Brown and Canada-based Holy Cross Secondary High School.
Brown said the work is an extension of an outreach initiated the previous year.
“As part of our commitment to tangibly meeting the needs of the people, we partnered with Holy Cross to establish these units and it’s a partnership that we will be continuing through this year and beyond,” he said.

Brown added that beyond housing solutions, he was using his extensive experience in the social development field to help bring sustainable development to the innercity community.
A former Executive Director of St Patrick’s Foundation, Brown continues to serve on its board as well as that of the Factories Corporation of Jamaica and the Stella Maris Foundation.
Holy Cross Secondary has been participating in outreach programmes in Jamaica for over a decade.
