SVL, Blue Power, GWest and Derrimon led gains during Tuesday's trading
Supreme Ventures, Blue Power, GWest and Derrimon Trading all gained 12 per cent during Tuesday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
SVL closed at $27.89, Blue Power at $6.05, Derrimon at $2.50 and GWest closed at $0.80.
The top declining stock was Caribbean Cream down 7.9 per cent to $5.01. The JSE Combined Index advanced by 3,877.99 points ( 0.81 per cent) to close at 484,404.36.
The JSE Index advanced by 3,470.27 points ( 0.71 per cent) to close at 490,468.44 and the JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 3,818.78 points ( 0.71 per cent) to close at 538,636.81.
Meanwhile, the JSE Select Index advanced by 136.57 points ( 1.10 per cent) to close at 12,588.86.
The JSE Cross Listed Index closed at 100.08 and the Junior Market Index advanced by 63.13 points ( 2.09 per cent) to close at 3,076.53. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 3.68 points ( 1.95 per cent) to close at 192.13. The JSE Financial Index advanced by 0.57 points ( 0.43 per cent) to close at 132.03.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 69 stocks of which 32 advanced, 27 declined and 10 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 24,349,090 units valued at over $808 million. Wigton Windfarm was the volume leader with 9,550,215 units (39.2 per cent) followed by PanJam Investments with 4,319,799 units (17.74per cent) and JMMB Group with 2,599,899 units (10.7 per cent) .
