The police say they are now following a number of leads into the case where a man and his wife were shot and killed in Central Village, St Catherine earlier this month.

“We are following a number of leads and have identified a suspect in the matter,” an investigators on the case told Loop News early Thursday.

The police, however, declined to comment further, only to indicate that the investigation has been intensified.

The police report that security officer Fabian Hardy and his wife, Nicolette, were at home in early October, when gunmen went to the premises and opened fire, hitting the two.

The wife died on the day of the attack and the husband succumbed to his injuries days after.

Sources said the attack came just days after the now deceased couple filed a report with the police that they were in fear of their lives, and were later escorted from the community by law enforcers.

Reports are that the couple returned to their home a few days later, which the Central Village police claim was without their knowledge.

Only hours after returning, the couple was attacked and shot dead by criminals in the community.
