Suspect held following murder in taxi in Manchester

A suspect has been taken into custody following the murder of a man during a robbery on the Richmond main road in Christiana, Manchester on Monday, June 3.

Dead is 38-year-old Romeo Fuller of Sedburgh district in Christiana, Manchester.

Reports from the Christiana police are that about 8:30 p.m., Fuller was among four passengers aboard a taxi when two of the male passengers proceeded to rob him, the driver and the other passenger in the vehicle.

During the robbery, shots were fired and Fuller and one of the assailants were shot.

They were taken to hospital, where Fuller died while being treated.

The other occupants of the taxi were unhurt.

The alleged robber who was taken to the hospital was subsequently arrested.

His identity is being withheld pending further investigation by the police.
