Supreme Ventures, tTech up double digits to lead JSE gains
Supreme Ventures Limited and TTech led gains Friday in trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
Supreme gained 12.8 per cent to close at $22.81 with 118,410 units. It was followed by TTech, up 12.7 per cent to close at $6.20 with 200 units.
The stock with the biggest decline on the day was Salada Foods, down 7.8 per cent to close at $29.50.
The JSE Combined Index advanced by 3,338.05 points ( 0.86 per cent) to close at 393,269.95.
The JSE Index advanced by 3,259.38 points (0.84 per cent) to close at 390,338.01.
The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 3,586.83 points (0.84 per cent) to close at 428,450.86. The Junior Market Index advanced by 31.29 points ( 1.00 per cent) to close at 3,158.95. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 0.06 points ( 0.03 per cent) to close at 175.18. The JSE Financial Index advanced by 0.53 points ( 0.53 per cent) to close at 100.53.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 61 stocks of which 30 advanced, 24 declined and seven traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 20,661,837 units valued at over $76,072,932.59. Sagicor Bank preference shares 8.25per cent was the volume leader with 15,000,000 units (72.60 per cent) followed by Honey Bun with 1,143,609 units (5.53 per cent) and Express Catering Limited with 583,562 units (2.82per cent) .
