Superluminal wins Fontainbleu Trophy on Heroes Day

Jockey Omar Walker won aboard SUPERLUMINAL in the seven-and-a-half furlong Fontainbleu Trophy on Monday's Heroes Day at Caymanas Park.

Jockey Omar Walker won aboard SUPERLUMINAL in the seven-and-a-half furlong Fontainbleu Trophy on Monday's Heroes Day at Caymanas Park.

Running with an eight-pound weight swing on SUPREME SOUL, who had outfinished him, a month ago, in the Mark My Word Trophy at nine furlongs and 25 yards, SUPERLUMINAL got his revenge in the seven-and-a-half furlong Fontainbleu Trophy on Monday's Heroes Day at Caymanas Park.

SUPERLUMINAL tracked BRUCE WAYNE and pulled ahead entering the straight, leaving Triple Crown winner, SUPREME SOUL, pushed by Shane Ellis to keep pace.

Running strongly in the straight with Omar Walker, SUPERLUMINAL turned back his six rivals, including five Anthony Nunes runners,  to win in 1:31.1, beating BRUCE WAYNE.

Apprentice Kiaman McGregor rode two winners, 20-1 shocker, SHE'S IRIE, in the second at nine furlongs and 25 yards, and 6-5 favourite, SWEET DESTINY, for leading owner, Carlton Watson, in the eighth.

Racing continues at Caymanas Park on Saturday.
