Stationery and Office Supplies stock price up 170% on JSE

Stationery and Office Supplies (SOS) led gains in Friday's trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
The stock gained 169.5 per cent to close at $5.39, after listing on Thursday at $2. SOS raised $96.8 million through a successful initial public offering in July.
Barita Investments Limited (BIL) recorded the second highest gains on Friday, up 7.18 per cent to close at $9.40.
The day’s top loser went to Berger Paints Jamaica Ltd (BRG), down 12.41 per cent to close at $16.37.
The JSE Combined Index declined by 2,643.14 points (0.99 per cent) to close at 264,720.89. The JSE Index declined by 3,060.70 points (1.21 per cent) to close at 250,626.61. The Junior Market Index advanced by 16.57 points (0.53 to close at 3,149.79. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 1.37 points (0.73 per cent) to close at 188.26.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 46 stocks of which 21 advanced, 19 declined and six traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 23,635,173 units valued at over $337,439,406.11. Express Catering Limited was the volume leader with 12,431,073 units (52.60 per cent) followed by Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited with 5,012,508 units (21.21 per cent) and SOS with 1,309,722 units (5.54 per cent).
