Stationery and Office Supplies led gains during Tuesday’s trading
Stationery and Office Supplies (SOS) and Caribbean Cream (Kremi) led gains during Tuesday’s trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
SOS gained 14 per cent to close at $8.00 followed by Kremi up 11 per cent to close at $5.85.
Eppley led declines down 14 per cent to close at $11.20.
On the day, market volume amounted to 9,127,674 units valued at over $161 million. Wisynco Group led with 3,030,145 units (33.20per cent) followed by Sagicor X-Fund with 2,073,646 units (22.72per cent) and Sagicor Group Jamaica with 688,441 units (7.54per cent) .
The JSE Combined Index declined by 1,897.89 points (0.46 per cent) to close at 410,389.21 and the JSE Index declined by 1,732.92 points (0.42 per cent) to close at 410,029.51.
The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index declined by 1,906.97 points (0.42 per cent) to close at 450,119.93. The Junior Market Index declined by 27.93 points (0.90 per cent) to close at 3,070.49. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 0.34 points (0.19 per cent) to close at 179.29. The JSE Financial Index advanced by 0.49 points (0.47 per cent) to close at 104.25.
The overall Market activity resulted from trading in 60 stocks of which 24 advanced, 29 declined and 7 traded firm.
