The St Mary police are gathering intelligence to locate a gunman who robbed a supermarket and shot a customer in Annotto Bay on Monday night, October 23.

Police reports are that sometime after 7 p.m., the man entered the supermarket posing as a shopper.

He then pulled a firearm and pointed it at the cashier, who he demanded money from.

A customer, who was inside the supermarket at the time of the incident, intervened, but the gunman opened fire at him.

Before the gunman made good his escape, he took a sum of money from the cashier.
