St James cops 'bag three guns from searches at chef’s home, shop'
Twenty-nine-year-old Christopher Hoyte, otherwise called ‘Stringy’, a chef of Hendon, Norwood in St James, was arrested and charged with illegal possession of firearms and illegal possession of ammunition late last week.
Reports from the St James police are that about 6 pm on August 5, a team of officers on operation in pursuit of wanted men and illegal firearms, conducted a search at Hoyte’s home, where two firearms, three magazines and eleven rounds of ammunition were found and seized.
A further search was carried out at a cook shop which Hoyte operates in his community, and a third firearm, along with a magazine containing seven rounds of ammunition, were found.
Hoyte was arrested and taken into custody, where he was subsequently charged.
His court date is being finalised by the police.
