St James cop still hospitalised following Monday’s crash in Trelawny

One of two members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) who were involved in a motor vehicle collision in Trelawny on Monday, remains in hospital up to Wednesday.

Reports are that about 2:00 p.m., a policeman was driving a service vehicle with his colleague on board along the Northern Coastal Highway heading towards Montego Bay, when upon reaching in the vicinity of Bogue Gate in Trelawny, the vehicle was involved in a collision with a motorcar that was being driven by a female.

The female driver and the two occupants of the police service vehicle sustained injuries and were all taken to the hospital, where the female driver and one of the police officers were treated and released, while one of the officers was admitted to the facility.

The two police officers are reportedly stationed in St James.

Personnel from the traffic office at the Falmouth Police Station are investigating the collision.
