St George's College are leading Kingston College (KC) 1-0 at half-time in the 2018 ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup final at the National Stadium in Kingston.

The Neville 'Bertis' Bell team took the lead in the 33rd minute through the dangerous Damani Harris.

The 18-year-old striker was set up by Duvaughn Dunkley on the edge of the 18-yard box and his shot beat goalkeeper Nathaniel Francis.

The goal came just a minute after KC's Ugandan star Ari Rodgers failed to convert an easy chance after beating  goalkeeper Orville Smikle.  Rodgers received a defence-splitting pass from Nathan Thomas but booted wide in front of an empty goal.

The match is the first meeting between the schools in a Manning Cup final and the battle is the first football final between them since 2011 when St George’s College prevailed 2-1 in the Walker Cup Knockout.

St George’s College are hunting their 23rd Manning Cup title, while 14-time champions KC are trying to win their first title in 32 years.
