SPF Weekend set to bring 'Ochi' alive again in summer 2019
The elusive holiday weekend getaway dubbed popularly as ‘Summer. Playground. Fantasy.’ returns this August with even more in store than any other year!
In true style, the weekend provides both local and international patrons the ultimate summer getaway filled with premium entertainment and food and shoreline chic venues.
Each year the ante is upped for this event and with the SPF 2019 weekend just around the corner, it now returns as a four-day series.
“We expect over 6000 revelers this Emancipation Weekend, as we continue to create the ultimate summer holiday experience for them,” shared Yohannes ‘Zulo’ Walton, SPF Weekend Director.
SPF 2019 will start its annual weekend from Thursday, August 1, Emancipation Day, to Sunday, August 4. The weekend kicks off with “I-Rise” at the newly launched Kaya Herb House in Drax Hall, Ocho Rios, where the natural and authentic ambiance coupled with high energy entertainment, is set to create an experience never had before.
Day 2 (Friday, August 2) splits its focus into both day and night, giving patrons some quality down time. Part 1 is a thrilling river tubing journey through the White River Valley, giving patrons an exhilarating opportunity to take in Jamaica's history in the land of eight rivers, while enjoying a bit of paradise.
After a zen day, Part 2 features an ultimate favourite, FOREVER BEACH. With this bonfire beach party, you’re sure to engage in more vibes, great music, food and drinks!
FULLYLOADED, a vital player in the weekend line up, takes place on Saturday, August 3 and is set to be the ultimate DJ Music Festival.
“Our new weekend Lineup is a demonstration of our thrust to transform SPF Weekend into a truly International brand showcasing a variety of event offerings for locals and visitors alike,” shared Mark Lindo, M7Events & SPF Director.
The weekend will close off with its anchor event, SOIREÉ at the Pearly Beach West. The all day beach party will boast gourmet eats and mixes and an urban chic fee, aimed at making patrons feel at home; all in all, completing your experience and becoming the playground for sophisticated pleasure.
This is the one time of year when the party-goers from Jamaica, overseas and the diaspora, are all in the same place at the same time to bring Ocho Rios alive.
