SOS stock at all-time high
Stationery and Office Supplies Limited (SOS) hit an all-time high surging towards $12.
The stock broke the $10 barrier on Wednesday and on Thursday closed at $11.98. The company awaits the release of pending financial results to support the jump.
Also, Blue Power continues to surge to new all-time highs at $12.55 from $5.00 in mid-July, on rumours of a split-up of operations.
The JSE Combined Index advanced by 7,116.72 points ( 1.43 per cent) to close at 506,348.99 and the JSE Index advanced by 6,726.38 points ( 1.33 per cent) to close at 511,476.82.
The JSE Cross Listed Index declined by 0.08 points ( 0.08 per cent) to close at 100.00 and the Junior Market Index advanced by 85.66 points ( 2.65 per cent) to close at 3,318.09.
The JSE USD Equities Index closed at 187.01 while the JSE Financial Index advanced by 1.94 points (1.43 per cent) to close at 137.31.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 72 stocks of which 50 advanced, 15 declined and 7 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 27,486,690 units valued at over $350,142,962.02. Wigton Windfarm was the volume leader with 18,641,069 units (67.82per cent)followed by Scotia Group Jamaica with 2,028,890 units (7.38per cent) and Fontana with 655,120 units (2.38per cent) .
