Add Solange Knowles to the long list of international celebrities who have made Jamaica their destination of choice for the perfect getaway.

For the sister of mega star Beyonce Knowles, the island is a spiritual home that has provided her with many life lessons.

Solange wrote about her love for Jamaica in a letter for Dazed magazine. Described as a ‘thank you letter to Jamaica’, the singer's piece outlines different aspects of Jamaica that she loves including the nation’s capital Kingston, towns such as Runaway Bay and Port Antonio, the parish of St Elizabeth, and singer Grace Jones.

“Thank you to this island for giving so much, sharing so much, and being a constant place of refuge and retreat when I’ve needed it the most. Thank you for its lessons and its guidance, for its stunning reflections and affirmations into the world,” she was quoted as saying by Daze in a condensed edit of the full story.

Solange is currently working on a follow up to her 2016 critically-acclaimed album, ‘A Seat At The Table’.

Beyonce Knowles and rap mogul husband Jay-Z were recently in the island shooting a promotional video for their tour.
