‘Slim Thugs’ nabbed for 'shooting of warder' in Portmore last July

The St Catherine South police on Monday last finally caught up with Jervis Kyle Swaby, also called ‘Slim Thugs’, who was apprehended by the division’s special operations unit after being wanted for six months in relation to the shooting of a prison warder in Braeton, Phase One in the Portmore area of the parish.
Prison Warder Leroy Robinson was shot at a daytime barbecue in the community on July 17, 2018, resulting in the loss of one of his legs.
Swaby and a second man, Jamil Johnson, also known as ‘Spragga’, the reputed don of Braeton, were implicated as suspects in the shooting.
Johnson was held a day later, attempting to flee the island under a false name, and was subsequently charged for the shooting.
Swaby, who was held in Bridgeport, Portmore, is yet to be charged, but remains in police custody.
