The Savanna-la-Mar Police in Westmoreland are probing the discovery of the skeletal remains of what appeared to be a male on Tuesday afternoon.
The gruesome discovery was made by workmen who were clearing a bushed up lot in the Westmoreland capital.
Reports are that during the clearing of the lot, situated behind the bus park in Savanna-la-Mar, the operator of a tractor became alarmed after the vehicle stumbled upon an object which turned out to be the skeletal remains.
Loop News was informed that the skeleton might be that of a former patient of the nearby Savanna-la-Mar Public General Hospital, as documents from the medical facility was discovered in the area.
The police will rely on the results of forensic tests to determine what caused the death of the unidentified male.
