Siblings held in triple murder of mother and children
A man and a woman have been held in connection with last week's triple murder of a mother and her two children in Tower Hill, East Rural St Andrew.
Loop News understands that the man is believed to be a former lover of the deceased woman. The other suspect is the man's sister.
“We can say that two persons have been taken in custody and are being questioned and could be soon possibly charged in connection with the triple murder,” said a police source on Monday.
Police made the disclosure after Loop News reported that local authorities were looking at a number of leads including information that the deceased woman, Kashief Jackson, 29, was involved in a love triangle turned sour.
Information sourced also pointed to the deceased woman having been entangled in a dispute with another woman who her spouse was reportedly still sexually involved with.
Reports from the Mavis Bank police are that the bodies of Jackson and her two children; one-year-old Aviere Williams and seven-day-old Aranza Williams were found their home in Tower Hill on Wednesday July 18.
On their arrival, Jackson was seen inside the house, while Aviere and Aranza were seen outside on the verandah of the same dwelling.
Jackson had multiple stab wounds to her body, and there were signs that efforts were made to set fire to the dwelling.
The victims were taken to the hospital, where their deaths were confirmed.
