Shopkeepers in their 50s killed execution-style in St Andrew

The bodies of two people - a man and a woman both in their 50s - were found with gunshot wounds in a section of the St Andrew South Police Division on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as 57-year-old Valda Ellis, otherwise called ‘Valerie’ of Ricketts Crescent in St Andrew, and Robert Gordon, 54, of the same community.

Both deceased persons operated a shop in the community.

Sources said the two were found with their hands and feet bound and gunshot wounds to the heads.

Reports are that early Tuesday morning, the bodies were discovered by persons in the community.

The incident has since triggered shock and anger among community members.

Police from the Hunts Bay station are investigating the incident.

A state of emergency is currently in effect in the St Andrew South Police Division.
