Superstar mare SHE’S A MANEATER is allowing BIGDADDYKOOL 11lb at seven and a half furlongs in Saturday’s fifth race but is still expected to assert her dominance over her old rival.

Now five, SHE’S A MANEATER, from the barn of champion trainer Wayne DaCosta, has been a thorn in Anthony Nunes' BIGDADDYKOOL’s side, starting with her first Superstakes win in 2017.

The last time they met, December’s Miracle Man Trophy, marked the second race in which BIGDADDYKOOL had ever finished ahead of SHE’S A MANEATER. She went to her knees at the start of last year’s Viceroy Trophy and was clearly leg-weary when beaten by BIGDADDYKOOL in the Miracle Man Trophy.

Both horses made their seasonal debuts at contrasting distances. BIGDADDYKOOL romped the nine-furlong Viceroy Trophy on June 30, chasing and beating stablemate HOUDINI’S MAGIC.  A week later, SHE’S A MANEATER raced the clock in the rescheduled six-furlong None Such Trophy.

Omar Walker is aboard SHE’S A MANEATER, facing apprentice Reyan Lewis on BIGDADDYKOOL in the grade-one event, which runs off at 3:05 pm. First post is 12:40 p.m.
