Sean Morris leads JGA Senior Golf Trials at Caymanas

Sean Morris has taken the early lead following the opening day of the  three-day Jamaica Golf Association (JGA) National Senior Trials  at the Caymanas Golf & Country Club in St Catherine on Friday.

Morris ended the day with a par 72 score. His score included three birdies, three bogeys, and twelve pars.

Dr Mark Newnham ended in second place with 74 or two over par and Rory Jardine was third with 76. Greg Chong ended the day in fourth position with 81.

George Hugh is currently the leading super seniors with 74. He came away with two birdies, four bogeys, and twelve pars.  JGA President, Peter Chin was second with 76 - three birdies, two bogeys and eleven pars. Tony Allison and Dr. Richard Grant were tied on 83.

The 54-hole trials will continue on Saturday and Sunday.

The three-day trial is being used to select Jamaica’s team to the Caribbean Golf Association Senior Championships in Florida from October 26 -30.
