Scotia working to resolve in-branch transaction software glitch

Scotiabank Jamaica has sought to assure customers that a software glitch that has been affecting customers since Tuesday is being sorted out.

Customers have been unable to conduct some transactions inside the branches of the financial institution since Tuesday and the issue has caused inconvenience for some clients.

However, the bank said it was working feverishly to ensure there is no long term fallout due to the technical failure.

“Scotiabank confirms that there were service disruptions with one of our software systems which has been affecting some in-branch transactions since yesterday. We are treating this issue as a top priority and working to have the service fully restored as soon as possible," a release from the bank stated.

"Scotiabank Automated Banking Machines, Point of Sale Machines and Online Baking are not affected and remain available for use. We would like to apologise to all our customers for any delays or inconvenience caused,” the bank said.
