Cocktail season never left, and since In The Loop partnered with the Academy of Bartending Spirits & Wines, the Loop Lifestyle team will be introducing a new cocktail each week.

Luke is an award-winning mixologist.
Few reasons why anyone should trust him behind the bar, he was the second runner up at the 2019 Taste of Jamaica competition and is slated to vie for the top spot at the 2020 Taste of Jamaica 2020 culinary competition in Miami in June.
He is inspired by industry pros such as Ovando Gayle, Clinton Morrison and a fellow mixologist known as Shawn — all senior colleagues who he worked alongside at VBar in Portmore.
Luke’s rosemary-infused sorrel concoction, dubbed The Red Loop is a sweet and spicy burst of flavours and we’ve got the recipe below.
With these easy-to-source ingredients, you can recreate The Red Loop just about anywhere.
The Red Loop
1/2 oz Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum
1/2 oz Stone’s Ginger Wine
1/2 oz Amaretto
1/2 oz Xaymaca Plantation Jamaican Rum
1/2 oz homemade rosemary-infused sorrel
1/2 oz Cinnamon powder
1/2 oz lime juice
Cinnamon stick with a sprig of rosemary to garnish
Add your Sorrel-infused ice sphere to the martini glass
Pour Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum into a cocktail glass
Torch the rum until a flame is ignited
Add ground cinnamon powder
Leave flame burning
In a separate glass, pour the Stone’s Ginger Wine, Lillifield Amaretto, Xaymaca Plantation Jamaican Rum, and the homemade rosemary-infused sorrel, cinnamon liquid and lime juice
Shake, then pour over the ice sphere
Garnish with the cinnamon stick and rosemary, then torch
