Sagicor X Fund up more than 20% to lead gains
Sagicor Real Estate X Fund Limited (XFUND) led gains in Friday’s trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
XFund gained 22.13 per cent to close at $12.75, followed by Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE), up 14.60 per cent to close at $9.50. The day’s largest declining stock was Jamaica Teas Limited (JAMT), down 10.91 per cent to close at $4.00.
The JSE Combined Index advanced by 7,049.31 points (1.92 per cent) to close at 374,633.69. The JSE Index advanced by 7,763.29 points (2.14 per cent) to close at 369,762.62. The Junior Market Index declined by 7.37 points (0.23 per cent) to close at 3,182.39. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 2.14 points (1.36 per cent) to close at 159.49. Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 52 stocks of which 26 advanced, 18 declined and 8 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 39,551,397 units valued at over $967,379,374.78. JMMB Group Limited was the volume leader with 27,208,371 units (68.79 per cent) followed by Sagicor Real Estate X Fund Ltd. with 5,278,788 units (13.35 per cent) and Wisynco Group Limited Ordinary Shares with 2,625,261 units (6.64 per cent).
