Rusea's, STETHS seek to build on strong starts to daCosta Cup

Defending champions Rusea's High and St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) are among a number of teams, which will seek to build on their strong starts on Match Day 7 of the 2018 ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup schoolboy football competition on Wednesday.

The day will also feature two top games with Green Pond High hosting St James High in Zone A and Green Island High entertaining Frome Technical in Zone B.

Over in Zone A, Cornwall College enter the day leading with maximum nine points from three games. The school is expected to be at the top entering the other round of matches as the team will visit Maldon High, which have lost two of their three games, while drawing the other.

Cornwall College are two points ahead of second-place St James High and three ahead of third-place Green Pond High.

Over in Zone B, Frome Technical are expected to face their toughest test of the season as they seek build on their strong start. They have won three straight games the same as defending champions Rusea's High. However, Frome will enter the day leading courtesy of goal difference and will now face off with a Green Island team, which has won two of its three games to be in third place on six points. An interesting battle looms between the teams.

Rusea's High have an easy assignment on the day as they visit Merlene Ottey High, which have lost all three games played this season.

Meanwhile, Zone E leaders and five-time champions St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS)  will also be looking to improve on their good start. STETHS will be hunting four straight when they visit fourth-place Lacovia High.
