RJR led double-digit gains during Monday’s trading
Radio Jamaica (RJR) led double-digit gains on Monday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
RJR gained 18 per cent to close at $1.25. It was followed by FosRich up nearly 4.0 per cent to $4.46. The top declining stock went to GWest down 9.0 per cent to $1.60.
The JSE Combined Index declined by 3,112.79 points (0.80 per cent) to close at 384,488.98.
The JSE Index declined by 3,231.40 points (0.84 per cent) to close at 381,542.55. The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index declined by 3,556.04 points (0.84 per cent) to close at 418,769.68.
The JSE Select Index declined by 21.93 points (0.23 per cent) to close at 9,638.75, while the JSE Cross Listed Index closed at 100.46.
The Junior Market Index also declined by 13.19 points (0.42 per cent) to close at 3,095.06 and the JSE USD Equities Index closed at 179.65. The JSE Financial Index declined by 0.33 points (0.33 per cent) to close at 98.54.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 57 stocks of which 17 advanced, 35 declined and 5 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 3,750,581 units valued at over $78,686,003.42. Seprod Limited was the volume leader with 779,351 units (20.78per cent) followed by Mayberry Jamaica Equities with 301,405 units (8.04per cent) and Radio Jamaica with 280,000 units (7.47per cent).
