Renowned studio engineer Barry O’Hare passes, reportedly from COVID

Renowned music and audio engineer, Barry O'Hare, passed away at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) in St Andrew on Saturday morning. He was 56.

Sources said O'Hare tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, and was being treated at the medical facility.

The son of a minister of religion, O'Hare has worked with many top local artistes, including Third World, Steel Pulse, Burning Spear and Shaggy.

O’Hare was notably the engineer for Spear's Grammy-winning album ‘Calling Rastafari’ in 2000.
