Reggae Boyz beat Honduras 1-0 in Texas

Damion Lowe scored the only goal of the game, the strike came in the 71st minute shortly after he came on.

Head coach Theodore Whitmore used seven local-based players in the starting eleven, including debutant Kevon Lambert from reigning Red Stripe Premier League champions Montego Bay United.

The victory marks the first against Honduras for the Reggae Boyz since a similar 1-0 triumph in the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup

It was the second game for the Reggae Boyz in the USA in 13 days as on February 3 they suffered a 1-0 loss to the United States at chilly Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The Reggae Boyz used the game as preparation for the Scotiabank CFU Men’s Caribbean Cup finals in June and the CONCACAF Gold Cup in July.

Honduras are preparing for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers in March where they will play against USA and Costa Rica.
