Real Estate management firm, 1834 led gains during Thursday’s trading
Stocks including 1834 Investments, Everything Fresh and Indies Pharma and led gains on Thursday's trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
The real estate management company gained 8.0 per cent to close at $1.13. It was followed by Everything Fresh up 5.0 per cent to $2.04 and Indies up 4.0 per cent to close at $3.37.
The day's top declining stock was Sterling Investments Limited down 12 per cent. The JSE Combined Index advanced by 3,789.47 points (0.99 %) to close at 386,176.65. The JSE Index advanced by 4,143.57 points (1.10 %) to close at 379,930.71. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 0.49 points (0.29 %) to close at 171.21.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 58 stocks of which 34 advanced, 16 declined and 8 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 7,475,855 units valued at over $93,370,018.95. Jamaica Stock Exchange was the volume leader with 1,418,661 units (18.98%) followed by Mayberry Investments with 1,140,593 units (15.26%) and Indies Pharma with 642,308 units (8.59%) .
