Purity encourages healthy lifestyle with 'no sugar added' buns
Consolidated Bakeries (Jamaica) Ltd is continuing its commitment to simplify its ingredients in order to produce better, tastier and healthier products for its consumers.
This comes in the wake of their announcement of a Purity No Sugar Added Spiced Bun to be rolled out islandwide.
The company continues to be the forerunner in the industry by maintaining its pledge to only use unbleached, bromate- free flour and eliminate trans-fat, animal-based fat and high-fructose corn syrup from its product formulations. Additionally, the company is taking steps to include more whole grains in its products and to reduce the levels of sodium and sugar, starting with its Purity No Sugar Added Spiced Bun.
“This has been our guiding principle since 1957 and we remain passionate and excited about this initiative,” Mr. Anthony Chang, Managing Director and CEO reiterated. “The delicate balance of making meaningful improvements, while not compromising on taste and quality, is something we take seriously and we laud the efforts of other members of the food industry who have now joined this movement.
