Pulse Investments stock gained 19 per cent on Thursday
Pulse Investments will open lower on Friday with a wide spread between buyers and sellers for the stock which gained 19 per cent yesterday.
The stock will open at $3.39 on Friday after closing at $3.46 on Thursday, in a flurry of activity which bumped up to price 19 per cent. But investors are willing to buy it no higher than $3.08 and sellers will only part with the stock at $3.68. The low buyer demand will likely push the price lower initially.
Yesterday's activity also saw MPC Clean Energy close with gains of 17 per cent to close at $153. On the losing side, JMMB preference shares declined 15 per cent to close at $0.80
The JSE Combined Index declined by 3,166.31 points (0.62 per cent) to close at 509,823.65.
The JSE Index declined by 3,932.73 points (0.76 per cent) to close at 513,291.77. The Junior Market Index advanced by 41.16 points (1.20 per cent) to close at 3,482.98. The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 3.74 points (1.92 per cent) to close at 190.71. The JSE Financial Index declined by 1.84 points (1.30 per cent) to close at 139.99.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 65 stocks of which 32 advanced, 30 declined and 3 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 25,139,873 units valued at over $148,846,689.65. Sagicor Select was the volume leader with 11,818,639 units (47.01per cent) followed by Wigton Windfarm with 3,037,314 units (12.08per cent) and Lasco Manufacturing with 1,855,600 units (7.38 per cent) .
