Pulse Investments led gains during Wednesday’s trading
Pulse Investments Limited (PULS) led gains during Wednesday’s trading day of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
PULS gained 20 per cent to close at $3.60, followed by General Accident Insurance Company (JA) Limited (GENAC) up 11.20 per cent to close at $3.97. The day’s largest decline was Palace Amusement Company Limited (PAL), down 29.82 per cent to close at $1,000.00.
The JSE Combined Index declined by 470.24 points (0.13 per cent) to close at 362,093.13. The JSE Index declined by 127.37 points (0.04 per cent) to close at 356,061.07.
The Junior Market Index declined by 32.11 points (1.00 per cent) to close at 3,186.39. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 1.86 points (1.16 per cent) to close at 162.78.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 58 stocks of which 23 advanced, 26 declined and 9 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 10,247,449 units valued at over $200,261,255.31. Jamaica Broilers Group was the volume leader with 2,506,851 units (24.46 per cent) followed by Scotia Group Jamaica Limited with 1,533,780 units (14.97 per cent) and General Accident Company Limited with 1,051,170 units (10.26 per cent).
