Pulse up 30 per cent to lead gains
Pulse Investments and Access Financial led gains in Wednesday's trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
Pulse gained 30 per cent to close at $2.34, while Access gained 15.3 per cent to close at $42.00. Supreme Ventures meanwhile gained 10 per cent to close at $11.31.
The top declining stock was Derrimon Trading, down 11.5 per cent to close at $7.00.
The JSE Combined Index advanced by 210.36 points (0.07 per cent) to close at 295,744.44. The JSE Index declined by 164.53 points (0.06 per cent) to close at 288,784.67. The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index declined by 180.58 points ( 0.06 per cent) to close at 316,958.10. The JSE Select Index advanced by 21.60 points (0.26 per cent) to close at 8,462.16. The Junior Market Index advanced by 33.69 points (1.23 per cent) to close at 2,768.08. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 8.87 points (5.34 per cent) to close at 175.04.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 56 stocks of which 28 advanced, 19 declined and nine traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 13,429,817 units valued at over $107.5 million. WISYNCO Group was the volume leader with 3,785,911 units (28.19 per cent) followed by Proven Investments Limited USD with 3,070,230 units (22.86 per cent) and Cable & Wireless Jamaica Limited with 2,140,830 units (15.94 per cent).
