Pulse up 14% to lead gains on Friday

Pulse Investments Limited (PULS) led gains in Friday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).

PULS gained 13.89 per cent to close at $2.05, followed by Honey Bun (1982) Limited (HONBUN), up 13.53 per cent to close at $5.37.

The day’s top loser was Express Catering Limited (ECL), down 10.27 per cent to close at $4.28.

The JSE Combined Index advanced by 45.91 points (0.02 per cent) to close at 267,093.09. The JSE Index advanced by 97.27 points (0.04 per cent) to close at 253,982.10. The Junior Market Index declined by 4.08 points (0.13 per cent) to close at 3,082.57. Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 50 stocks of which 20 advanced, 25 declined and five traded firm.

Market volume amounted to 5,408,388 units valued at over $69.2 million. Stationery and Office Supplies was the volume leader with 1.9 million units (35.74 pre cent) followed by Caribbean Producers Jamaica Limited with 526,752 units (9.74 per cent) and JMMB Group Limited with 523,305 units (9.68 per cent).
