Proven Investments led gains on Tuesday

Proven Investments JMD led gains on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) on Tuesday.

The stock gained 14.3 per cent to close at $24.01 with 550,000 units. Paramount Trading gained 10.4 per cent to close at $2.99.

The top declining stock went to Eppley which lost 7.3 per cent of its value to close at $12 on the day.

The JSE Combined Index advanced by 1,006.02 points to close at 252,086.09.

The JSE Index advanced by 818.75 points to close at 236,299.73.

The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 898.62 points to close at 259,352.76.The Junior Market Index advanced by 23.73 points to close at 3,206.95.The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 5.93 points to close at 181.40.

Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 44 stocks of which 21 advanced, 18 declined and 5 traded firm.

Market volume amounted to 2,843,257 units valued at over $55.5 million. Proven Investments Limited USD was the volume leader with 1,828,601 units (64.31 per cent) followed by Proven Investments Limited JMD with 550,000 units (19.34 per cent) and Scotia Group Jamaica Limited with 324,221 units (11.40 per cent).
