Prince Charles lands Ash Wednesday Trophy
Champion Anthony Nunes was among three trainers saddling two winners at Caymanas Park on Wednesday, TASK FORCE in the fourth event and PRINCE CHARLES, who closed the programme with victory in the Ash Wednesday Trophy.
Wayne DaCosta joined Nunes and Johnny Wilmot with two winners, opening the card with ROJORN DE PILOT and landing FAKE NEWS in the fifth.
TASK FORCE and PRINCE CHARLES were both ridden by claiming apprentice Reyan Lewis, who topped all riders with three winners, also booting home 8-1 chance LAZER LIGHT in the eighth.
Apprentice Oshane Nugent rode back-to-back winners to record his first career two-timer, BAY TO GREY and MISS LINDA WRAY, in the sixth and seventh races, respectively, a quick double for Wilmot.
Six-time champion Omar Walker, who won aboard ROJORN DE PILOT and stunned astride 16-1 upsetter, KEY WITNESS, in the ninth, also rode two winners.
