Power outage set for sections of St Andrew on Monday

Residents, including students doing online classes, in some sections of St Andrew are set to experience inconvenience come Monday, November 23, as the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) moves to carry out several hours of maintenance outage.  

“Please note that JPS work crews will be carrying out a maintenance outage, from 10:00 am – 2:30 pm,” the light and power company stated in a release. 

The work will result in a disruption in electricity supply in the following areas of St. Andrew: Michigan Avenue and all roads leading off, Cadiz Avenue, Vanguard Avenue, Chancery Hall Drive, Horatio Drive, Lady Hamilton Drive, Ellesmere Drive, Lord Nelson Drive.

“JPS apologises for the inconvenience caused by this outage and will make every effort to restore power to the affected areas in the shortest possible time,” the JPS release stated.
